The blue Kia Sorrento was stolen from a Shepparton car dealership on Friday, April 10, at about 3pm.
Police said vehicle was found dumped in River Rd in Shepparton East by an off-duty officer at about 6pm.
No people were found with the car and police are still investigating its theft.

EARLIER: Police are currently searching for an unmarked police vehicle that was stolen on the afternoon of Friday, April 10.
Police said the police car was at a Benalla Rd car dealership in Shepparton for a service when it was stolen about 3pm.
The blue Kia Sorrento had been left unattended in a car wash bay when it was stolen, police said.
It is believed several people arrived at the location in a stolen vehicle before one of the men jumped into the police vehicle and drove off in convoy with the stolen car, police said.
Officers are investigating whether the keys were left in the vehicle, which is fitted with lights and sirens, at the time.
At 5.45pm, the car had not been found.
Shepparton CIU are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward or for anyone who sees the vehicle to call 000.
