A stolen car was driven on the wrong side of a Shepparton road as its occupants tried to escape police.
Police spotted the stolen black Ford Falcon sedan at the corner of Hawkins St and Sali Dve in Shepparton about 4pm on Monday, April 13.
Police tried to intercept the vehicle, but it continued to drive on Hawkins St.
It was last seen by police in Verney Rd – near Ford Rd – when it failed to stop on police direction.
Police said when the vehicle drove off fast, and on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic, they did not chase it for safety reasons.
The car had been stolen from a property at Orrvale at 6pm on Sunday, April 12.
