Woolworths coleslaw in 110 g, 250 g, 400 g and 800 g sizes with use-by dates up to and including Thursday, January 21, and a site code represented by the letter ‘S’ after the use-by date code are being recalled.
The recall applies to products sold in Woolworths supermarkets in regional Victoria and metro stores in NSW and the ACT.
“Woolworths is recalling these products due to the potential presence of microbial contamination — salmonella,” the company said in the recall.
“Customers should note that this recall applies to the above product with use-by dates up to and including Thursday, January 21, only and no other products are affected by this recall.”
Food products with potential microbial contamination may cause illness if consumed and any customers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
Consumers are encouraged to return the product to their nearest Woolworths supermarket for a full refund.
Woolworths apologised for any inconvenience caused by the recall issued on January 12.
The recall applies to the Woolworths stores in Cobram, White Box Rise, Bright, Benalla, Mooroopna, Golden Square, Bendigo Market Place, Swan Hill, Shepparton, Echuca, Shepparton East, Wangaratta, Seymour, Airport West, Lavington, Albury Central, Wodonga, Epsom, Yarrawonga Central, Kerang, Thurgoona, Lansell Plaza, Kyabram, Kennington, Corowa, Moama and Northland.
