Coaches will replace trains on sections of the Seymour and Shepparton lines at the following times:
Trains will operate to the regular timetable outside of these limits. Albury line trains will also run as usual.
Replacement coach services will be a mix of express, semi-express and stopping-all-stations services, and won’t stop at Essendon.
A temporary timetable will be available from the V/Line and PTV websites.
Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and to allow an extra 60 minutes for their journey.
During this time, Shepparton Line Upgrade crews will work to deliver upgrades along more than 25km of track between Mangalore and Murchison East, which will enable trains to travel faster and make journeys more reliable once the project is complete.
The Shepparton Line Upgrade has enabled modern VLocity trains to run on the line, and work is progressing to enable nine return services on weekdays.
While trains aren’t running, V/Line crews will also continue works to upgrade the signalling system along the Seymour line.
These works will modernise and automate the signalling system, allowing trains to run closer together to help make up lost time and recover from unplanned disruptions while delivering safe and reliable services.
