Kiwanis club of Mooroopna president Tony Nappa congratulated the new presidents and their new boards, which he said had the same challenges he did in growing memberships and raising funds “to distribute that money to help the kids in our communities”.
Fresh faces: Back row, Bruce Trotter, Dom Segafredo, Evelyn Myers, Barry Myers, David Taylor with, front, Joyce Laird, Cheryl Alexander, Norm Mitchelmore and Gael Thompson at Kiwanis Club of Shepparton’s changeover.
He thanked past board members and position holders, including immediate past president Garry Alexander, who put his hand up to be Lieutenant Governor for District 7.
Mr Nappa, on behalf of the club, was able to donate a vast array of toys and childcare items last month to help in its cause of providing support to young children.
“This is a great way Kiwanis can help kids in the community at this early stage of their development,” he said.
“I look forward to a new Kiwanis 2022/2023 year, with all of the challenges and achievements we as a club can create as a team, especially the forthcoming Carols in the Park on December 10.”
