The Berrigan Red Cross invites you to join more than 20,000 other Red Cross volunteers in Australia who provide much needed support to those who need it most.
The volunteer network is made up of a diverse range of people of varying ages and backgrounds, who speak many languages, have different skills and a vast array of experiences.
Just as the volunteers are diverse, so too are the range of volunteering activities offered.
Why volunteer with Red Cross?
• Make a difference in your community helping with preparedness, response and recovery phases of emergencies.
• Develop new skills.
• Connect with new people.
• Be part of the world’s largest humanitarian organisation.
• The Red Cross is built on voluntary service – it’s one of its fundamental principles.
With the recent flooding in the region, local emergency services volunteers provided support at evacuation centres in Deniliquin and Moama, and also provided support and assistance in recovery assistance points in Jerilderie, Finley, Deniliquin and Conargo.
