Residents donated 22 pallets of non-perishable food items, pet food, toiletries and sanitary products.
Loads of bottled water was also donated.
The donated items were taken to the Seymour Relief Centre on Sunday morning, to go directly to help fire impacted residents.
Greater Shepparton City Council only put a call-out on Saturday morning for people to donate for five hours that afternoon, and the local community did not disappoint with their generosity.
Council chief executive officer Fiona Le Gassick said people had again shown they were selfless and generous.
“The community really steps up in times like this,” she said.
Mayor Shane Sali was also impressed by the number of people who wanted to donate.
“The Greater Shepparton community never ceases to amaze me - they always step up in times of need to selflessly support others.
“Thank you to everyone who generously donated.”
Cr Sali said another drop-off donation centre was being organised for this week, with details to be provided once confirmed.
“We continue to work with neighbouring councils to support ongoing relief efforts,” he said.
