On Sunday, May 18, young equestrian enthusiasts gathered for a day of non-competitive showjumping, allowing both novice and experienced riders to explore the sport in a relaxed environment.
Pony club secretary Amanda Morton said the event offered riders of all levels the chance to practice on the jump course and receive valuable guidance from experienced rider Trevor Feldtmann.
Club president Jemae Coldwell said Feldtmann provided “invaluable support and judging” for the riders on the day and gave riders a ribbon for a clear round.
On the day, there was representation from many different clubs the region, including Rochester Pony Club and Shepparton Pony Club.
“The freshmans was a huge success brining all different clubs to our local town,” Coldwell said.
“(The) generous support from the community sponsors was vital in making the day a success.”
She said Kyabram Pony Club were always looking for new members of all types of experience to join.
