The Rice Industry Awards, delivered by Rice Extension in partnership with industry stakeholders, recognise growers and contributors who drive productivity, sustainability and leadership across the rice industry.
Winners will be announced during the Rice Connect conference at CluBarham on Thursday, August 13.
The SunRice Grower of the Year is awarded to the grower/s who demonstrate success, sustainability and innovation on their farm.
Selected by a judging panel the award includes a monetary support package and nomination for the Australian Farmer of the Year Award.
Judges look for excellence in production and agronomy, water use efficiency, innovation and technology, business management, sustainability, work health and safety, and industry and community involvement.
Other awards to be presented are Port of Melbourne Regional and Highest Yield for crop year 2026 Award, Yenda Producers Specialty Variety Awards for CY26 Award.
