That's right, the Shepparton Brewery is not only serving some of the town's most delicious, tooth-crackingly cold ales at its Edward St haunt - you can now buy takeaway cans to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.
The gang's initial run is seeing them sell its Maude Street Pale Ale, Canola Rola Lager and Modern IPA, but it is planning to ramp things up and can its entire range in the near future.
For brewery co-founder Daina Winch, it was an initiative months in the making.
“We ordered (the equipment) back in February - it was meant to take 17 weeks and it took eight months, so that's 2020 for you,” she said laughing.
“We were always going to can beer, it was always in the plan. It was a long time coming, but now it's up and running and here we are.
“We were always pulling straight from our taps, so anything that was brewed was sold on the premises. Now with more fermentation space and the canning and labeler, we're able to sell off-site.”
Initially available only at the brewery, Ms Winch hoped her famed product could be stocked by local restaurants once on-hand volume increased.
And while conquering the local scene one potion at a time remains the clear objective, could this be the beginning of the Shepparton Brewery's widespread takeover?
“Our goal is obviously to focus on the Goulburn Valley to start with - but anyone can buy it,” Ms Winch said.
“We're not gonna stop anyone from buying it, but just with the production volumes to start with we'll start here and see where we head.”
The brewery's introductory offer is seeing it sell four-packs for $15, and cases of 16 for $45.
