Police said Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives were investigating the crash, which occurred early on Wednesday, June 18.
The allegedly stolen Haval was spotted by police driving at speed in the vicinity of Church St in Whittlesea at around 1am, before officers lost sight of the vehicle.
At about 1.20am, Air Wing spotted the Haval allegedly driving at speed in the vicinity of Plenty Rd in South Morang, police said.
On Bellevue Bvd in South Morang, police deployed stop sticks while waiting on updates from the Air Wing, which was monitoring from above and continued monitoring as the vehicle sped through Epping.
Police said the Haval rolled near the entrance of the Hume Fwy on O’Herns Rd in Epping.
There were six occupants inside the vehicle: three 17-year-old boys from the Whittlesea area, two 16-year-old boys from the Hume area and the 19-year-old Seymour woman.
Ambulance Victoria said paramedics responded to the incident at around 1.35am.
Two males and the female were treated for lower body injuries, one male was treated for upper and lower body injuries, and one male was treated for head injuries.
All five were transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition, Ambulance Victoria said.
Ambulance Victoria said the sixth individual was airlifted to The Alfred Hospital in a critical condition after being treated for upper and lower body injuries.
The six occupants of the vehicle remained under police guard in hospital.
Police said it was alleged the Haval was stolen during an aggravated burglary from an address on Starboard Dve in Doreen during the early hours of Tuesday.
