Two pop-up sessions, one outside Major’s IGA supermarket and the other at the Moon Oval for the football and netball on Saturday, allowed people to share their big ideas.
Council acting director community Andrew Fletcher said staff were completing the face-to-face approach to allow people to have a say.
The information collection process, which has involved people filling out a survey, ends on Wednesday, May 31, and a consultancy firm will then work with the established PBP committee to formulate the plan.
“We have created multiple opportunities for community members to have input into their next Place Based Plan to obtain the broadest community representation by hosting in-person sessions as well as online surveys,” Mr Fletcher said.
Residents can make a last-minute contribution at the Rochester Service Centre, if they want to complete the survey.
“We saw many fantastic outcomes from Rochester’s first Place Based Plan, such as the Rochester website, the caravan park upgrade and the development of the Wirima Playspace, so we want to encourage as many people as possible to share their ideas for the next Place Based Plan,” Mr Fletcher said.
There are three $100 RBN Dollar vouchers to spend at local businesses to be won by submitting a survey.
