Its tail lights are “dripping” and there are painted hands “grasping” at the bonnet.

But unlike other sexspec cars that were focused more on visual and audio features than performance, this bulging beast was built also for the drag strip.
Featuring SR20DET engine hardware and a 600hp Garrett ball bearing turbo, the engine has ceramic-coated pistons, Argo steel rods, a ported head with solid lifter cam conversion and A’Pexi vernier cam gear.
To pull the sexy turbo-charged sedan up are a set of front and rear V8 Supercar-vented rotors, while Brembro four-piston calipers from a Porsche 911 were installed for the front bit.
Airbrushed hands appear to grasp the bonnet.

This Nissan S14 became popular in the Australian AutoSalon car show.
“In the 1990s and early 2000s, these are some iconic cars of that era that you no longer see,” MOVE’s Andrew Church said.
“We always aim to have something a little different in the museum to show the history of different types of automotive in Australia.”
The interior featured luxe red and white styling.

Early 2000s automotive aesthetics were unmistakable with their wild custom ‘candy’ or chameleon flip paints, large chrome wheels and full body kits.
Lifted bonnets revealed chrome-plated or colour-matched engines, while interiors looked futuristic with neon lighting, multiple screens, boot-mounted sound systems and fibreglass speaker enclosures for speakers that often blasted dance anthems.
The sex doctor (SEX DR) became an icon of its era.

It was a time where a Mitsubishi Lancer or a Nissan 200SX could be transformed into an artful masterpiece.
Though the era made way for subtler and more functional automotive builds, AutoSalon remains a definitive snapshot of Australia’s most vibrant show-car chapter.
The SEX DR is on display for a limited time at Kialla’s MOVE museum.
The Nissan was on the cover of Hot4s magazine.
