Residents who use Kialla’s Raftery Rd regularly need to be on alert for changing water levels, as the region continues to be affected by flooding.

Water releases from already-full catchment areas — as well as further persistent rainfall — are causing rolling flood alerts and concerns throughout Victoria.
Greater Shepparton City Council issued a road closure notice just after 7pm on Friday, September 30, for Raftery Rd between Edgewater Rd and Seven Creeks Dve due to significant water over the road.
The section of road remained closed until Monday morning, with the level of water receding sufficiently over the weekend.
It was the second time in less than two weeks the road had been closed, following an initial closure from September 21 to 25.
Along the creek to the north many walking tracks remain under water, including those behind Settlers Dve in Kialla.
Residents are reminded to never enter or drive through flood waters, and to call 132 500 for emergency assistance from VICSES and 000 in life-threatening emergencies.
At the time of writing, the Bureau of Metereology was predicting no rain in Shepparton on Tuesday, but 10 to 20mm on Wednesday, 10 to 15mm on Thursday and 15 to 30mm on Friday.
