These pumps, which are responsible for supplying potable water to the town’s reservoirs before distribution to residents, have reached the end of their operational lifecycle and require replacement to ensure continued reliability and efficiency.
As part of its ongoing capital works program, Edward River Council is investing more than $750,000 in these critical infrastructure upgrades.
The works have been carefully scheduled during a period of low water demand to minimise any potential impact on the community’s water supply.
At this stage, Edward River Council does not anticipate any disruption to residential water services during the upgrade.
Council will continue to monitor the works closely and will communicate any changes to the schedule or water supply delivery as they arise.
