Plans for new KFC in Mooroopna put to council

An application for a drive-through KFC in Mooroopna has been submitted to Greater Shepparton City Council.

The application was lodged on Friday for the drive-through restaurant at 148 McLennan St, Mooroopna, at the intersection with Echuca Rd.

It would be across the road from Woolworths and Subway.

It would become the fourth KFC in the City of Greater Shepparton, with three restaurants along Wyndham St in central and north Shepparton and in Kialla.

The council will make an initial assessment of the report this week before referring the proposal to external authorities.

Plans would go on public notice from May 7, with the application to be assessed by June 6.

A council spokesperson said they were unable to comment on the application, but confirmed it had been received.

KFC Australia has been contacted for comment.
