Three of Shepparton’s major higher education providers are joining forces to host a Regional Open Day on Sunday, August 10, showcasing local study opportunities for Goulburn Valley residents.
GOTAFE, La Trobe University and the University of Melbourne will open their campuses to prospective students and families, demonstrating the diverse educational pathways available in the region.
“Through our involvement in the GMTEP, we are showcasing seamless pathways between vocational education and higher education,” GOTAFE executive director student experience Laura Baker said.
“The Regional Open Day is a great example of how collaboration can remove barriers and open doors for our community.”
La Trobe University Shepparton head of campus Elizabeth Capp highlighted the newly renovated campus.
“Our renovated and extended campus enhances the study experience and increases options for people in the Goulburn Valley to access courses that respond to critical skills and workforce shortages,” she said.
The event will run across multiple locations: GOTAFE Fryers St Campus (10am to 2pm), La Trobe Shepparton campus (9am to 2pm), University of Melbourne’s Dookie Campus (10am to 1pm), and the Department of Rural Health Shepparton Campus (11am to 4pm).
Anyone interested in attending can register online at their respective institution’s websites.
