The 47-player roster includes a Shepparton United six-pack, while seven Victoria Country or Allies representatives will be looked upon to lead the side that finished ninth last NAB League season.
No club boasts more representatives than United, its six-man contingent including last year's standouts Kade Chalcraft, Jhett Cooper and Vic Country representative Zavier Maher, with Bowen Calogero, Kaedyn Napier and Sean Thompson rounding out the list.
Shepparton also packs a punch, with excitement machine and likely high 2021 draft pick Achoung Agog, senior standout Jayden Gagliardi and former under-16 All-Australian Ethan Baxter among its selections.
Another under-16 All-Australian, Shepparton Swan Josh Rachele, will be among the side's major contributors after impressing for the Bushies late last season, the bottom-age talent kicking eight goals in four games.
Seymour is also hitting them with the one-two, with familiar faces Sam Durham and Hudson Kaak returning to the list as over-age talents.
The duo has been training with Richmond's VFL side and will be eligible for selection with the Tigers throughout the season.
The list also includes three Cobram representatives (Izac Artavilla, Harry Beasley and Brodey Rudd) and two Euroa ballers (Tom Panuccio and Ben Bath), while Mooroopna and Numurkah have a talent each.Talent manager Mick Wilson said players that had missed selection would still get a chance to impress.
“The final list was chosen following 12 weeks of intense pre-season training and practice matches which began back in November,” Wilson said.
“Unfortunately, some very talented footballers have missed selection, however, the opportunity to play at the highest level will remain open given the varying stages of football development which is recognised by AFL recruiters.”Coach Mark Brown was keen to get the season going.
“We’ve seen tremendous commitment from the players and their families throughout the pre-season,” Brown said.
“Now we can focus on preparing for our first match against Gippsland Power which is only three weeks away.”
