Man charged with attempted theft, assault with metal bar

The 56-year-old man, who was confronted by staff, allegedly had a metal bar on his person.

An officer from the station said the man, who lives in Echuca, was arrested and charged with attempted theft and assault.

The man will appear at Echuca Magistrates’ Court in October.
