The 2023 Murray to Moyne team has raised more than $11,000 and have purchased new equipment for Deniliquin Hospital.

The dedicated local team of cyclists and support crew have been participating in the annual event for 33 years - and Graeme Butcher has cycled all 33 of them.
Mr Butcher said the team worked in conjunction with Deniliquin Hospital to purchase a new Ook Snow All Bariatric Hospital Bed donated to the palliative care unit.
The bed cost more than $27,000 which was purchased with this years ride funds raised, combined with built up funds from previous rides.
Ook Snow beds have an increased working load capacity to bring comfort to bariatric patients, but have gained popularity as the "cuddle bed" because it is certified to be used by two people: one patient and one bystander.
The fully automatic bed will enable a closer, more comfortable option for patients and their families when they enter palliative care.
Mr Butcher said the Murray to Moyne team is happy to keep fundraising and donating to Deniliquin Hospital.
“I would like to thank our team and support crew,” he said.
“Also the businesses, services, sponsors and our generous community for supporting our ride and the fundraising efforts.
“We are proud to support the Deniliquin Hospital and will continue to do so,” he said.
Deniliquin Hospital facility manager, Jinny Lange was overwhelmed with the donation.
“We are happy to be able to provide families and patients with a new level of comfort with end of life care thanks to the M2M donation.
“The bed will also enhance a new palliative care facility project that will be underway in the near future,” she said.
“The funding has been approved to upgrade the palliative care facility.”
Deniliquin Hospital cluster manager Craig McColm was also in attendance to accept the kind donation.
“We really appreciate and value the efforts of the Murray to Moyne team and their donation.
“Sadly we just don’t have the budget to purchase all of the equipment we need,” he said.
“The bed will mostly be utilised for palliative care but has the ability for multipurpose use.
“It is wonderful for the community to see the outcomes of the donations made to enhance our patient care.”
