As a Wagga-Wagga local, Eric Armstrong will have a long way to travel to spend his $1000 Shop Local prize.

Mr Armstrong and Leonie Hunter were in town for a week of rest and relaxation last week when they stopped in at the Echuca Workers’ Club for dinner on their first night in town, where they entered the winning ticket for the big Shop Local prize.
“We were very surprised, it was basically the first night we got here that we ate at the worker’s club, and we put the ticket in,” Eric said.
“We were just here for a week’s rest, and we chose Echuca to do that.”
This was not the pair’s first time in the twin towns, and after this win, it won’t be the last.
“We were trying to think when it was we were here last, but we always intended to come back,” Eric said.
“We’ll remember Echuca forever.”
