Let’s be motivated by His love for us

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Phillipians 3:13-14 NIV).

In this scripture, we see Apostle Paul urging us to forget the past and to press on to fulfil the call God has assigned to each of us.

God has a calling for every believer, and it’s our role to discern what that call is, and then strive to fulfil it.

One day, when we stand before the Lord, we should long to hear the words, “well done, good and faithfully servant”.

The love Jesus has for us is all the motivation we need to keep pressing on.

Jesus was willing to give up everything to rescue us from Satan’s clutches.

He suffered so much as part of His rescue plan for His family.

The knowledge of that love He has for us, is what can keep us motivated through good and bad times.
