Secretary Wendy Hurd said the members enjoy friendship, and support each other.
They also come together for craft days and other activities, and provide assistance to the community.
One of the recent activities was the International Day held last week, led by the group’s international officer and president Joy Knight.
“This is an annual event where a particular country is studied and celebrated with a luncheon,” Mrs Hurd said.
“Our country of study this year was the Democratic Republic of Korea.
“Our crafters created a paper doll. We had kits for a male and female but only managed the male, it was quite a challenge with the Korean instructions.
“We tried to use translate on an iPhone to work out the instructions, but unfortunately that was seen by Apple as a breach of security.
“During lunch we shared our knowledge of Korean language reciting quotes and words in our thick Aussie accents.”
Lunch consisted of varying fried dumplings and Bimbibah - a spicy marinated mince dish served with Kimchi - followed by a double sponge with cream and passionfruit icing made by Maree Thomas to celebrate Joy Knight and Sara Ham’s birthdays.
“All women in our community are welcome to come and experience the CWA in action on the third Thursday of the month, at 1.30pm.
“Although this month’s meeting will be held at 10 Bolton St, Jerilderie.
“Further information on CWA NSW can be found on our website, https://www.cwaofnsw.org.au.”
