It comes after another roadside collection bin was destroyed by heat this week.
“It’s that time of year again, inside fires are burning bright, keeping us all warm and toasty,” council said.
“However, we don’t want those fires to continue burning brightly in our wheely bins.
“Clean your fires out and cool those ashes and coals down until they are cold to touch - then, and only then, you can put them in your red lidded bin.
“To be extra vigilant, keep your bins away from any structures, just in case. A burning bin can easily spread to the garage or the house.”
Dying to Know Day in Deni

Anne Frank's story still on display
There’s still time to view the internationally acclaimed exhibition on one of the world’s most famous teenagers in Deniliquin.
'Let Me Be Myself - The Life Story of Anne Frank' can be viewed at Deniliquin's Peppin Heritage Centre Gallery until September 26.
Anne Frank’s experiences as a Jewish child in World War II Nazi Germany were documented in her diary, published following her death by her father Ottto Frank.
Launched in 2015 by Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, the exhibition has travelled throughout Australia to offer visitors a profound glimpse into Anne's life through photographs, personal writings, and interactive displays.
The Peppin Heritage Centre Gallery in George St, Deniliquin is open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday, and 9am to 2pm Sundays. An entry fee of $3 applies.
Camera Club exhibition
The Deniliquin Camera Club will be hosting their 2025 exhibition between August 8 and September 6 at the Edward River Arts Society Gallery.
The exhibition will also feature the southern sky astrophotography display.
The display has featured across Australia, including at the Powerhouse museum and the Sydney Observatory.
It will include stunning imagery of the southern sky and space scape.
Coaches wanted
The Deniliquin Rams Football Netball Club are taking expressions of interest for Football and Netball coaching positions for the 2026 season.
The callout goes out to, previous coaches, current coaches, and new coaches, and is for all grades from seniors to juniors.
