A Hearing Australia bus will roll into Cobram on Friday, March 4, and people aged over 18 are encouraged to have a free 15-minute hearing check.
The bus is travelling along the Murray River, from Corryong to Mildura, and will stop in the Woolworths Cobram car park on Friday from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
The buses travel the country, stopping everywhere from busy city centres to rural and regional areas, as well as retirement villages and aged care facilities in efforts to make sure everyone has access to a hearing check.
The checks are designed to help boost hearing health awareness and help adults identify if they are suffering from hearing loss.
There will also be information available on the best ways to preserve your hearing.
Hearing checks are designed to be quick and easy, with no appointment necessary for those coming along for a check on the day.
Staff will be able to help people with options including hearing support for the TV or phone or at social events, as well as options to suit each attendee.
Not everyone who needs hearing support requires a hearing aid.
Hearing Australia estimates 3.6 million Australians are affected by hearing loss, meaning about one in five adults are affected.
Hearing Australia is a nationwide provider of Federal Government-funded hearing services for people up to 26, First Nations peoples, pensioners and veterans.
The bus service will visit Albury, Corryong, Howlong, Tocumwal, Echuca, Cohuna, Swan Hill and Mildura between February 28 and March 10.
