Guess who’s got that winning feeling

Enjoying the Cats verse Swans rivalry were Nate Profitt, Nigel and Violet McMahon, Ruby Foley, Mitch Jefferies, Kristy Tremble, Summer King (front), Karen Druitt, Nicky Bermingham and Margaret Werner.

You could feel it in the air at Edward Public School on Friday ... that AFL rivalry tension.

The blue and white stripes of the Geelong Cats stole the show and outnumbered the red and white at the school’s Footy Colours Day.

Although the Sydney Swans supporters were matching in enthusiasm, it was hard not to notice Cats fans had that whiff of glory about them ... or was that the aroma of the enticing sausage sizzle?

While there were all jumping for joy Friday that the big match was upon them, we’re certain those Geelong supporters have a bit more pep in their step after Saturday’s result.

The school brought together students, staff and even family members for the fun day of footy themed events.

The second Fathering Project event of the year was timed to coincide with the day, with male role models also donning their footy colours to join in on the fun.
