The submissions will be part of GV Water’s own pricing submission to the independent water regulator, the Essential Services Commission.
GV Water says it will centre customer values, which will inform balancing service reliability, affordability, water security, growth, climate pressures and renewing infrastructure.
The submission will outline GV Water’s service proposals, infrastructure investments and pricing for customers.
GV Water general manager customers and growth Jonno Bellette said the organisation needed to respond to challenges including climate change, populations growth and ageing infrastructure.
“We need to understand how we fund essential services and long-term infrastructure after a sustained period of stable prices, and how we make this fair for current and future customers,” Mr Bellette said.
“That means making choices about how we balance service levels, affordability and long-term reliability — and we want customers to help inform those choices.”
In-person submissions can be made at ‘water cafés’, which will be hosted during August and September in a variety of locations in the Goulburn Valley.
