The contents of a rubbish truck caught alight in Mooroopna on Wednesday as it was travelling along Echuca Rd about 11 am.
CFA, FRV and police were called to the scene, near the intersection of Echuca Rd and Huggard Dve, where the back of the truck was fully engulfed.
The rubbish was dumped out onto the roadside as fire crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
Police directed drivers through the scene, with the fire brought under control about 11.30 am.
C rews remained on the scene, pulling apart rubbish piles to ensure the fire was extinguished.
Four CFA vehicles attended, with support from FRV.
