Have you ever considered a career in early childhood? Council is hosting its annual Early Years Recruitment Day on Wednesday, August 26 from 2pm to 4pm at the McIntosh Centre at Shepparton Showgrounds.

The event is designed for those with a qualification in early childhood education and care and those who are actively working towards a qualification.

It’s suitable for those who have recently graduated, those with experience in industry and those looking to make a career change.

On offer is the opportunity to take part in a simplified application process within council’s early years department.

This includes a casual on-the-spot interview.

Greater Shepparton City Council manager early years operations and reform Stacey East said working in early childhood education at council could offer a highly rewarding career.

“It’s a rewarding career where you can make a significant impact on our community and a real difference in people’s lives,” she said.

Registrations to attend the event open on Monday, August 10 and close on Monday, August 24 and can be made by visiting shepp.city/eyjobs.

Applications are encouraged from those of varying backgrounds, experiences and life stages.
