With not long to go until census night on Tuesday, August 11, the Australian Bureau of Statistics is reminding people they can complete their census as soon as they receive their instructions.
Census national spokesperson Emily Walter said the ABS had already received over a million completed census forms.
“With census night only a week away, we’re reminding everyone that you can complete your census early if you know where you’ll be on census night,” she said.
Those who are yet to receive their census instructions or would like to complete the census separately from the rest of their household are advised to head to the census website to get a census number or request a paper form.
People who won’t be at their usual residence on census night should go to the census website and indicate whether the house will be vacant and if residents will be staying elsewhere or travelling.
