Emporium 3630 is a unique shopping experience that brings handmade and well-crafted products under one roof.
Within four weeks of being handed the keys to the store, owners Karen Chandler and Ashlee Thomas had locked in 250 small businesses to feature in the shop, which is now ready for its opening day.
“We haven’t had anything like this up this way, which is why we’ve had a lot of interest,” Mrs Chandler said.
Emporium 3630 is partnered with Montrose store Market 3765, which stocks similar products and is owned by Miss Thomas.
Mrs Chandler and Miss Thomas are hoping this idea of selling and showcasing small business products will take off across Victoria in the form of other stores.
“The idea is to have a few shops down the track that link together and help get products out to the public,” she said.
“We’d love for people to know that what they make from home does matter.
“To put their product on a shelf and show it to the public to see their craftsmanship is amazing.
“Our aim is to support a wide range of small businesses.”
With items such as handmade jewellery, clocks, woodwork, chopping boards and even knitwear for sale, there’s something for everyone at Emporium 3630.
Located at 147-149 High St, Shepparton, Emporium 3630 will be open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and 10am to 3pm Sundays, starting Friday, April 29.
