Greater Shepparton City Council is encouraging residents to participate in a community satisfaction survey taking place over the next week.

The face-to-face part of the Local Government Community Satisfaction Survey will take place in Greater Shepparton from Tuesday, June 10 to Monday, June 16.

Research resource company Thinkfield is conducting the surveys, which are a way for council to understand if it’s meeting community expectations of services.

Thinkfield conducted an initial number of surveys by computer-assisted telephone interviewing, with Greater Shepparton residents selected at random to take part.

Thinkfield will now conduct the in-person surveys, with residents encouraged to take part if they are approached.

Council director corporate services Chris Teitzel said all responses were confidential and were grouped with others.

“The surveys are a useful tool for council to gather feedback directly from residents,” he said.

“We want to know what they think of council’s performance and service to ensure we are continually improving our delivery to the community.

“Residents can be assured that if they are approached in person to take part in the survey, it is legitimate and is being conducted on behalf of council.”
