The council has announced that a new provider appointed by the Federal Government will take over the services from July 1.
Home modifications and social connection programs, including PuFF walking group, are among services to be handed over.
Council director community Louise Mitchell said services would not be disrupted by the change.
“Council will work closely with clients and stakeholders to help make sure the transition to new service arrangements proceeds smoothly,” she said.
“Council has staff in place to work with every client currently receiving our services so that they have all the information and support they need in the coming months.
“Looking after clients and their carers is really our top priority.
“We’re really working to make sure clients don’t have to do anything.
“We’ll work with the Australian Government and new providers to ensure a smooth transition.”
Ms Mitchell said changes the Federal Government was making to the way aged care services were delivered had contributed to the council’s decision to withdraw.
