Back for its third running, tonight's meeting attempts to help raise money for the Blue Ribbon Foundation and Goulburn Valley Health.
Greater Shepparton's Blue Ribbon Foundation and Greyhound Racing Victoria will link up with the club to again honour police force members who have died in the line of duty and community groups in the region.
Lee Van Taarling helps co-ordinate the running of the Blue Ribbon Cup and spoke about being able to help raise awareness and money, as well as revealing what would be on offer for families and their children.
“It's great to help raise awareness and funds for both the Blue Ribbon Foundation and GV Health,” he said.
“It's free entry and there are plenty of activities for the kids, who will receive a free gift bag on entry and there are heaps of prizes to be won.
“Hopefully we can see plenty of faces out to the track and enjoy a great night and help raise some money.”
The 12-race meeting starts at 7.02pm, with the Blue Ribbon Cup race eight at 9.20pm.
There will be a raffle drawn before the main race, with all proceeds going to the Blue Ribbon Foundation and GV Health.
Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club manager Carl McGrath said the club was proud to be involved with the Blue Ribbon Foundation for another year.
“We are very proud to be able to help out and raise money for a great cause,” he said.
“It's great to continue the partnership and raise money for our local area.
“And being school holidays, there's lots of fun activities for the kids.”
