Benalla Squash Club results

It was another round of squash with exciting, close results. Three of the four matches were equal on rubbers and the result went down to games.

Here are the results for Round 13 of the autumn season competition:

Section 1

Caslek Computing and Cabling Team defeated Barkly Street Vets Team, two rubbers each, eight games to seven: Wally Pastuszka (fill-in) lost to Greg Murphy 2/3, Rod Firmer defeated Barry Edgley (fill-in) 3/0, Tim Leenen lost to Matt Crittenden 0/3 and Liam Margat defeated Gerry Margat 3/1.

Custom Squash Team defeated Benalla Bobcat Team, two rubbers each, 10 games to six: Sandy Paterson lost to Wally Pastuszka 2/3, Gerard Vitti defeated Mark Rogers 3/0, Andrew Ham lost to Paul O’Brien (fill-in) 2/3 and Garry Manning (fill-in) defeated Sharon Watkins 3/0.

Section 2

Stuart Green Plumbing Team defeated Smith Dosser Accountants Team, three rubbers to one: Liam Thivillier-Lefebvre lost to Alex Scherini 0/3, Toby Currie defeated Damien Gilbert 3/2, Kyle Margat defeated Anakin Pastuszka 3/0 and Kate McPadden defeated Kayleigh Stanton 3/0.

HP Excavations Team defeated Hollywoods Pizza Team, two rubbers each, seven games to six: Ray Moulday lost to Sharon Gysberts 1/3, Henry Pastuszka defeated Greg Cornell 3/0, Jye Pastuszka defeated Lucas Ham 3/0 and Dawn Shaw lost to Andrew Costello 0/3.

There will be no squash results next week, with Round 14 being cancelled due to the COVID-19 lockdown, but still look for Benalla Squash Club on Facebook. Let us know if you want to join in.
