Hidden history, inheritance and the power of words: hear more about Sarah Clutton’s new novel, The Bookshop of Buried Pasts, at Shepparton Library on July 7.
Moving between 1960s Cambridgeshire, England and the Southern Highlands of NSW in the present day, her new novel traces how the past quietly shapes the lives that follow.
It follows Phyllida Banks and her granddaughter Lottie through a duel timeline narrative as they navigate family, long-held secrets and the ties that bind generations together.
The book draws readers into a world where secrets linger long after they are hidden.
The Bookshop of Buried Pasts comes after the release of Ms Clutton’s bestselling novel The Remarkable Truths of Alfie Bains was published in 2025.
The Australian author will be talking at about her new novel at the event, which starts at 2.30pm.
Copies of the book will be available to purchase, with Ms Clutton happy to sign copies of her work.
