New Senior Constable Anthony Sayers at Corowa Police Station is pleased to be back country policing.
“I started at Hay in the country, my parents live in Wangaratta – I have missed country policing,” the 37-year-old, who commenced at Corowa on August 15, told The Free Press.
“This opportunity came up and it was an opportunity to get back into country policing and closer to home. And it’s good to have a good sergeant at your police station.”
Corowa Police Sergeant Steve Marshall welcomed his latest addition whose police career spans 13 years.
“We are gradually rebuilding our ranks and with the addition of Anthony Sayers from the Police Transport Command in Sydney, he could not have come here at a better time,” Sgt. Marshall said.
“Although transferring from Sydney, Anthony started his NSW Police journey in Hay many years ago and is actually a product of Wangaratta.
“Anthony is looking to establish roots in Corowa and brings with him and wife and 2-year-old daughter.”
