A hot two-course meal is on the menu, and everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the entertainment that is also on offer.
The talented Cobram Anglican School Junior Choir, under the leadership of music teacher Trish, will sing a bracket of popular songs to open the afternoon.
Hats and other accessories will be on display for people to view and reminisce.
Later, Dianne Raco will give an update on the future of a proposed dialysis unit at Cobram NCN Health while Annette Mustica will speak about the Riverside Church Meals Program for the Needy in our district.
The wonderful work by members of the Riverside in supporting and reaching out to those who are struggling regarding finance, health and in other ways is a wonderful asset to our community and attracted the attention of the local Australia Day committee, winning an award for their efforts in 2023.
Today, they prepare over 60 hot meals weekly.
A donation will be made to the Riverside Meals Program as well as supporting the Samaritans Purse Christmas Child Shoeboxes.
For the past few years the Uniting Church has packed 100 shoeboxes with educational needs, hygiene products, clothing and fun activities for disadvantaged children in the Pacific region, many of whom have never received a gift at Christmas.
The cost of transporting these boxes to outlying communities is quite substantial at $12 per box.
Come along at noon on Tuesday, August 5 at Irvin Hall and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of good food, good fun and great speakers for just $25 per head.
If possible, contact Margaret Wallace 0409 411 802 or Margaret Watson 0409 401 189 to book your spot for catering purposes.
