Music from an era long since passed will flood Peter Hagen’s concert hall in Broadford.
In June, Mr Hagen will welcome singer Kate Macfarlane and theorbo player Samantha Cohen into his concert hall to bring to the audience the music of 17th century Italian composers Claudio Merula and Barbara Strozzi.
Mr Hagen will join the two on the keyboard, bringing to life the songs of centuries ago.
“Words are so often inadequate to express our deepest feelings and emotions and, in this concert, poets and 17th century Italian composers combine to go deeper,“ Mr Hagen said.
“This music still moves us deeply almost 400 years after being composed.
“The combination of theorbo and keyboard is the perfect backdrop to Kate’s fine voice.”
Tickets are currently on sale for the concert, which will take place on June 22 at 700 Three Chain Rd, Broadford.
Mr Hagen is giving away a free double pass to lucky The Telegraph readers. All you have to do is email him at peterr@peterhagen.com.au and tell him why you want to win.
