Shepparton’s Out in the Open Festival is back for its 10th year of celebrating LGBTIQA+ pride and community diversity. The festival is starting off with a bang, with the trivia night being held online. Bring together a team or play individually; first prize will be a rainbow pack. Free to join, the event will run from 7pm-8.30pm, with the link available via the Out in the Open Festival Trivia Night Facebook page.

The Haze Maze — Fright night
The Haze Maze will be filled with Halloween goodness, with treats and frights throughout and a best dressed competition! Offering a family-friendly spooky event, running from 5.30pm-8.30pm, the early start welcomes young children and families with the real scary fun beginning at dark. No bookings are needed, entry will be $10 per person. The maze is located at 880 Labuan Rd, Katandra West.
Fowles Wines outdoor concert
Part of the Victorian Government’s Play On regional series, Harry Hookey, Dallas Frasca and Benny Walker will hit the stage in Avenel. Tickets are $30 with half the proceeds going to Avenel Primary School. The event will begin at 4pm and run to 9pm at Fowles Wines, 1175 Lambing Gully Rd, Avenel. Out in the Open Festival — Milestone big brunch
Festival fans are invited to join the official Out in the Open Festival fundraising brunch. Held at Milestone Cafe and Bistro at 7723 Goulburn Valley Hwy, Kialla, the brunch will cost $30 on pre-sale, or $35 at the door. Seating is limited and tickets must be pre-purchased or reserved. A friendly social group meets every second Tuesday of each month at 6pm at Casablanca Restaurant, 125 High St, Shepparton, for a meal and to discuss the coming months' itinerary for day and evening outings.
