Two critical after north Qld house fire

Two people have been critically injured and a third person is in a stable condition after a house fire in north Queensland.

Paramedics arrived at the home after the blaze broke on Home Hill Rd, Ayr, about 5.41am on Tuesday.

The Queensland Ambulance Service says a man in his 60s suffered burns and a female who was also burnt are both in a critical condition in Ayr Hospital.

A man in his 20s was also injured and taken to the hospital, where he's in a stable condition.

Firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze.
