Childcare worker facing 1623 abuse charges

The offences took place at childcare centres. All parents of impacted children have been notified.

Ms Gough said the man had all the qualifications necessary to work with children and was arrested in August of last year. 

Queensland Acting Assistant Commissioner Col Briggs said officers were monitoring activity on the darknet and first located images of children being shared.

The images were matched to a childcare centre in Brisbane, with the man arrested in Brisbane.

 The case is scheduled for mention in Brisbane Magistrates' court on 21 August.
