The cabin was wrecked when it ploughed into the side of an irrigation channel.
The stock crate was torn from the tray on impact. Police were at the scene until late this morning directing traffic as the semi-trailer was hauled from the channel.
They did not have any details of the accident.
But a spokesman at Mooroopna Hospital said this morning a truck driver, Brian Jess (23), of Warracknabeal, was brought to hospital soon after 5am by another truck driver.
The spokesman said Jess had suffered cuts but his condition was “quite satisfactory.” Meanwhile Shepparton police said today the accident rate at the intersection of High and Wyndham Sts had risen sharply since stop signs were removed several weeks ago.
A spokesman said this morning there had been at least two accidents a week at the intersection.
“Without the stop signs they are driving straight through,” he said.
There was another minor accident at the intersection this morning.
At 8.30am two cars being driven by Dawn Dean of Mooroopna and Donald McGinnes of Shepparton, collided. Damage was moderate and nobody was hurt.
About 25 minutes earlier two cars collided at the intersection of Maude and Nixon Sts but again nobody was badly hurt.
