As storage shed manager for the past two years, Damien spends most of his time managing and maintaining the 188 storage units on the property.
“Within my role, it all varies,” Damien said.
“I do retail and car rentals, but the majority of the time I’m managing storage sheds — processing paperwork, making sure everything’s maintained.”
With an emphasis on client relations at the centre of the job position, Damien thrives on delivering the best for their customers.
“You’ve got customers coming and going all the time, so you’re talking to different people and being able to help with their car rentals, their storage solutions ... being able to help people, that’s the biggest buzz.”
Faithful customers may have been using Goodfellows services longer than Damien has been employed there, but it’s no matter.
Damien, like all Goodfellows staff, have been welcomed into the family-run business by owner Graham Goodfellow alongside his dynamic daughter Amanda Hodges with open arms.
“It’s very family orientated, that’s the main thing,” Damien said.
“There’s a small group of us here, we’re all pretty close.
“It’s like a little family within itself.”
