Tatura Country Motel has been recognised for exceptional customer service alongside key factors such as motel design, style and online ratings and reviews.
Dale and Liane Simpson, who purchased the motel around 18 months ago, were given the exciting news recently that has seen the motel receive the prestigious award for Country Motel of the Year for Victoria 2023, leaving them thrilled.

“We have put in a lot of time and hard work since becoming owners, so it’s nice for that to be recognised by not only the awards but our guests too,” Dale said.
“When we bought the motel, we wanted it to be a place where people wanted to come and stay and not had to, and we can see that happening now.
“Tatura has a lot to offer with its country vibe and quieter atmosphere, and the main street is within walking distance, which makes it a lovely town to visit.”
The motel earlier this year also received a traveller review award through Booking.com for its high online ratings, serving as another mark of distinction for the owners on their guests overall experience.
Acknowledging excellence within the travel and hospitality sector not just within the region, but the whole state, is an exceptional achievement and one that both Dale and Liane are extremely proud of.
“It’s wonderful and we are really excited for the future of the motel,” Liane said.
“The motel really caters for everyone.
“And things are only going to get bigger and better.”
