“We will be running some hands-on activities across the school during the week, which will culminate in a school-wide celebration to which parents will be invited,” Verney Road School principal Angela Buxton said.
Students across all year levels will join in on different science-based activities for this year’s STEM theme.
The senior students will be running Myth Busters activities, which will involve lots of science experiments.
The upper middle years will be showcasing their technology with their own LEGO Masters and tower-building competitions, with lower middle-year students experimenting with engineering by building the best paper planes.
The youngest year levels will join in on the fun with a range of maths activities as well as some sport-based activities.
The week will culminate in a school-wide celebration, where families will be invited into the school to join in on the festivities.
“This will be a great day to showcase and share with our families the fabulous learning of our students,” Ms Buxton said.
