Engaging with their outdoor facilities will be at the core of Mooroopna Park Primary School’s focus celebrating Education Week.
“We plan to have some fun staff versus students activities to engage the whole school,” Mooroopna Park Primary School principal Hayden Beaton said.
“We’ve got a new scooter and road safety track and we plan to utilise this.”
The school prides itself on its wellbeing program and is looking forward to continuing to make this a priority, with guest speakers to help students on their wellbeing journey.
The school has been recognised for its achievements in this area, receiving the Australian Education Award for the Best Student Wellbeing Program in 2020 and again in 2022, alongside the Victorian Early Years Award for Promoting Children’s Health and Wellbeing.
“We do a lot around wellbeing with the students, and we want to continue this, especially during Education Week,” Mr Beaton said.
Mr Beaton also emphasised the importance of healthy eating and a good diet to sustain students’ motivation and engagement.
This is a key focus for the school with its healthy food program, The Park Café.
A full-time chef provides breakfast, morning and afternoon tea and a hot lunch each day to all students, free of charge, ensuring everyone gets the sustenance they need to engage in their education.
With a wide range of engaging and fun facilities, students have the opportunity to move around the grounds, make new friends and be motivated to learn.
