It was a gold coin donation event to see some fresh talent.
The performers, aged between six and 18, came from various schools and music teachers across the Goulburn Valley.
Over 150 audience members were treated to two hours of diverse performances, with each act lasting four to five minutes.
The variety of music and the ability of the performers drew enthusiastic applause after every item.
Australian National Piano Award committee member Ngaire Rikys said fostering local talent was just as important as hosting the prestigious national competition every two years.
“We are very lucky to foster this event,” she said.
“It’s a really exciting way to showcase the young talent we have here in the Goulburn Valley.”
From “absolutely brilliant” vocalists to skilled instrumentalists, no two performances were alike.
“Beautiful young kids, playing and singing,” Mrs Rikys said.
With Bruce Stirling as MC, the afternoon celebrated not only musical skill but the passion and dedication of the region’s young artists — and the community’s pride in them.
