Greater Shepparton’s newly appointed climate resilience officer, Jack Bowmaker, will outline his role on Saturday at ‘Beneath the Wisteria’.

Supporters will gather, sans the wisteria, in the breezeway at the Shepparton campus of La Trobe University on February 22 at 11am.

Mr Bowmaker, who had already been working for Greater Shepparton City Council, moved into his new role only weeks ago.

He will talk about what climate resilience means and how he would like to engage the community, helping locals better understand what they can do individually and with others to thrive in a changing climate.

The event lasts for about an hour and people will have ample time to speak with Mr Bowmaker and ask questions.

Questions about the event, for which there is seating, can be directed to Robert McLean on 0400 502 199 or email r.mclean7@icloud.com.
