The charity’s Circles of Support Roadshow will visit several regional centres including Benalla, Shepparton, Wangaratta, Wodonga and Albury, offering free information sessions about child wellbeing and community support systems.
'“We know communities like Shepparton, Benalla and Wodonga already care deeply about their kids,” Portsea Camp chief executive Sandra Martin said.
“This is about strengthening what’s already there — and walking alongside locals to help every child access the life-changing experience of camp.”
The first session will be held in Shepparton on Tuesday, August 20 from 3pm to 4:30pm at the Sherbourne Terrace Hotel, 109 Wyndham St.
Refreshments will be provided.
Community members are encouraged to bring photos and memorabilia from their experiences with Portsea or the original Lord Mayor’s Camp for a project celebrating the organisation’s 80-year history.
The organisation has been running for almost 80 years.
